Los Angeles-based artist Jupiter Winter is the brainchild of acclaimed singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Lelia Broussard. Broussard weaves her deepest emotions and vulnerabilities into a tapestry of sophisticated pop, a sound meticulously crafted alongside her creative partner and husband, Royce Whittaker.

Blending introspective lyricism with a lush mix of guitars, synths, and drums, this indie pop band has crafted a distinct sound that resonates deeply with themes of love, mental health, and self-discovery. Their story began in 2015, amidst the whirlwind of a North American tour where fate brought Broussard and Whittaker together. Despite personal and professional challenges, their connection blossomed into a partnership fueled by love and a shared passion for creating music that resonates on a deep level.

Broussard, a seasoned artist with a knack for crafting poignant songs, found herself navigating the aftermath of her band's breakup, while Whittaker took a leap of faith by relocating from Canada to join her in California. Together, they turned their home studio into a space of refuge, where raw honesty meets sonic experimentation.

Broussard herself is no stranger to the music industry. Her decades-long career is a testament to her versatility and captivating songwriting.  Whittaker, meanwhile, has become a sought-after talent, serving as musical director and guitarist for megastars like Megan Thee Stallion and Daniel Caesar.

Beyond Jupiter Winter, the duo are integral members of the synthwave band The Midnight. Broussard joined the touring lineup in 2019, co-writing and performing on the title track of their 2020 album "Monsters." Whittaker followed suit the same year, taking over as musical director and guitarist. Their creative fingerprint is all over The Midnight's latest record, "Heroes," where they contributed not only as performers but also as writers and producers.
